Passing through McKee, KY and needed to stop for dinner. What a wonderful surprise Opal's was! For around $12 I got an appetizer, a soda, a fried chicken dinner (that included 2 sides and cornbread) and a dessert! I recommend the cornbread salad (evidently it's a local favorite which I had not heard of prior to dinner). The service was prompt and pleasant. The waitress was very helpful in explaining the options and making recommendations. Next time you find yourself driving through, be sure to avoid the fast food chains and buy local at Opals. I promise you'll get your money's worth and you'll love the food and service!

Great place for lunch! Inexpensive menu, but don't let the prices fool you. This place has super good home cooked food. I had baked ham, green beans, and fried potatoes. It was like being at Grandma's house on Sunday. The service was great and everyone was friendly. I'll definitely be back!
Cornbread salad is the freaking bomb!!! Fried cauliflower and fried pickles are the absolute best I've ever had. If you want some good home cookin' come here. Stick with the specials they are the best priced!!!
